Experiment:
Research Group
• Nine eighth grade teachers from the MSSELI program who are experienced implementers of InterActions, MWM Sports, and other State Board adopted science curriculum
• Students in participating teachers’ eighth grade science classes
• Nine STEMs from SPAWAR
Control Group
• Nine eighth grade teachers from the same (or similar) schools as Research Group teachers.
• Students in participating control group teachers’ eighth grade science classes
Data, Analysis
• multiple choice pre/post student questionnaire on student attitudes
• classroom observations (live and video-recorded)
• teacher interviews
• STEM interviews
