CCSE's Solar Energy Week, Solar Conference

October is California's Solar Energy Month and many public events will be taking place throughout the state. The California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) will be kicking off Solar Energy month in San Diego with its 5th annual Solar Energy Week which runs from September 27th - October 3rd.
The week's events are as follows:
1. Bring the whole family to the Solar Family Day - kickoff event!
Time: Sunday, Sept. 27th, Noon to 4:00 PM
Location: Liberty Station in Point Loma
This FREE event will include fun and interactive activities such as, hands-on exhibits, solar experiments, solar cooking demonstrations and splash science lab. There will also be many opportunities to ask the experts questions about how you can join in on the clean energy future.
2. SOLAR CONFERENCE - Explore the latest in policy, technologies and business issues at the Solar Conference!
Time: Tuesday, Sept, 29th, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Location: Marriott Mission Valley (Registration fee: $25.00)
Keynote speakers include Mayor Jerry Sanders (San Diego), Dianne Jacob (SD County Supervisor), Hear the latest from the California Public Utility Commission, Department of Energy, CALSEIA. Workshops Tracks will include:
- Finance and Rebates
- Policy Planning
- Clean Technology
- Workforce Development - Green Jobs

3. Get aboard on our Commercial Solar Bus Tour!
Time: Thursday, Oct. 1st, 7:30AM - 5::00PM Location: Departing at CCSE
(Registration fee: $25.00)
This bus tour is incredibly informative and fun while you learn about the state-of-art technology showcased by several local business that have integrated solar into their energy plan and will explain the many benefits of these installations. Tickets are selling fast! (Lunch included)
4. Get story from real homeowners at your own pace!
Time: Saturday, Oct. 3rd, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
This FREE self-guided tour is a great opportunity to get information from real residential solar system owners. Locations, PV size, technologies and directions are available on our web site.
