Maritime Week Kickoff Activities for the Whole Family
The 1st San Diego Maritime Week kicks off with some free and inexpensive opportunities for the whole family the weekend of November 14 & 15.
Maritime Science Expo
FREE ADMISSION
Saturday 10am-5:30pm & Sunday 10am-3pm
B Street Cruise Ship Terminal
All are invited to see exhibits by students, organizations and companies -- including SPAWAR, High Tech High, Ocean Discovery Institute, SDSU, Navy ROTC and many others -- with maritime interests. It is all part of our efforts to "Promote the Maritime Community" and STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) education and encourage the creators of tomorrow's technologies today.
Maritime Art & Film Festival
Art show, sale & silent auction

Film viewing will be at the Maritime Museum.
Research vessels - Board research vessels from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and SPAWAR as well as Hornblower's first hybrid vessel along the north apron of the B Street Terminal

Maritime Museum of San Diego "Family Days"
Children 12 and under will be free when accompanied by a parent. Buy tickets online at www.sdmaritime.org. Hours: 9 am - 8 pm
*Film viewing (of Art & Film Festival) is included with admission to museum
San Diego is the leading maritime technology center in the U.S. The Maritime Alliance is working with partners to organize the San Diego maritime community to better address growth opportunities locally and in this truly global industry. The goals of this first San Diego Maritime Week are to celebrate "all things maritime," to raise the visibility of this important San Diego sector locally, nationally and internationally, and to promote global collaboration.
