Speak Up, the national online research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow, is now open for your input. Since the project's inception, over 1.5 million students, educators and parents have shared their views about key educational issues with local and national policy makers. You can too!

Join Speak Up and give your students, teachers, administrators and parents the opportunity to get involved in the local and national dialogue about key educational topics including: technology use, 21st century schools, math instruction and digital citizenship.

All participating schools and districts will receive free, online access to their aggregated survey results with national benchmarks in Feb 2010. National findings will be released at our Congressional Briefing in spring 2010.

What is Speak Up?   The Speak Up initiative has three primary goals:

  1. To collect & report on what key education stakeholders think about education, technology & 21st century skills.
  2. To raise awareness about the importance of including student, educator and parent voices in the national and local discussions.
  3. To stimulate new local conversations and support school & community efforts to improve education for all students.

This year, Speak Up 2009 will be open to students, teachers, administrators and parents (in both English and Spanish) and Aspiring Teachers. This year's topics include:

    • Learning & Teaching with technology
    • Emerging technologies in the classroom, including mobile devices, Games and Web 2.0
    • Online learning and digital content
    • Digital citizenship
