A global adventure of science and discovery featuring the entire age of dinosaurs-from the earliest creatures of the Triassic period to the monsters of the Jurassic and Cretaceous-as they are reawakened on the giant screen in eye-popping 3D format. (40 min.) To receive your free preview admission you must RSVP in advance to groupregistration@sdnhm.org or call 619.255.0210, with your name, school, and date of your visit (November 9 to 13).
When you arrive at the Museum, please check in at the North entrance to pick up a packet before going into the exhibition. Remember to bring a valid school ID.

DARWIN: EVOLUTION | REVOLUTION
November 7, 2009-February 28, 2010
Let your students explore the life and work of Charles Darwin, the biologist whose revolutionary theories on natural selection and evolution changed the face of science forever. This year marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publishing of On the Origin of Species. In addition to Darwin's own manuscripts, notebooks, letters, artworks, and personal objects, the exhibition also contains fossils, taxidermy mounts, and living specimens.
School group rate (10 or more students): $4 per student
Monday morning school group lecture:
Darwin-Biology Today!
Inspire your students with real-world science! Come hear a guest researcher from University of California, San Diego's Biological Sciences Department discuss the exhibition and the research that they do in their labs. This lecture will provide insight into the exhibition, Darwin: Evolution | Revolution and the exciting world of a career in biological science research.

Travel through time with Docent guides and discover San Diego and Baja California through this spectacular collection of regional fossils, interactives and to-scale reproductions of ancient species. Grades 3-8.
