A note from the SDSA President regarding measuring teacher performance

For those interested in the debate about measuring teacher performance through test scores, let me point you to my recent contribution to the Schooled blog on voiceofsandiego.org.  CLICK HERE

This came about because of a dialog with some business people about the issue of using test scores to measure teacher effectiveness.

Interestingly, when I wrote this, Emily Alpert tried in vain to find a counter-blogger who might champion the opposite point of view (maybe because the conventional wisdom isn't so wise, eh?)

Cheers

Rick Beach

President, SDSA
