Workshop Overview
Many of us have continued to use Microsoft Word 2003 because we have become quite comfortable with it and we have heard that Microsoft Word 2007 is different in many ways. It’s time now to take the plunge and learn this new software program. This workshop will teach you the basics of Microsoft Word 2007. Since Microsoft Word 2007 is so different from previous versions of Microsoft Word, learning to navigate the new features can be difficult. This workshop will show you how! .
During this workshop, you will be introduced to the changed Microsoft Word 2007 window and will be guided step-by-step through
the many new features, enabling you to use this software tool with ease in the classroom.
In this workshop, you will learn about:
- The Microsoft Office Button
- The Quick Access Toolbar
- The Title Bar
- The Ribbon
- The Ruler
- The Text Area
- The Vertical and Horizontal Scrool Bars
- The Status Bar
- Understanding Document Views
- Click
- Understanding Nonprinting Characters
- Create Sample Data and Select Text
- Place the Curser
- Execute Commands with Keyboard Shortcuts
- Start a New Paragraph
- Exit Word
- Ease the learning curve and assist with the transition process by downloading the Microsoft Word 2003 to 2007 command reference interactive guide that will show and tell you where the commands have been moved
