EVENT FEATURES:
- Industry speaker - Last year, Lynn Langit from Microsoft Corporation spoke to the attendees about getting a head start in industry, including networking tips. The speaker for this year's conference is to be announced.
- Robot activity - Build your own robot, and take it home! Last year, students learned to solder, and made robot bugs that crawled around.
- Lunch/keynote speech/awards - Lunch is on us! There will be a keynote speech from Adam Burgasser, a UCSD physics professor, who will talk about his research in brown dwarves, planets, astronomy, and highlight the work of leading females in his field.
- Web Dev 101 - Join UCSD's computer science club in learning how to code your very own website! No experience necessary. Build a cool website of your own, and take home a USB key full of extra tutorials and samples.
- Lab tours/org fairs - Take tours of UCSD engineering research labs to see what cutting-edge work is being done right here in San Diego. Then, see all the cool kinds of projects UCSD engineering students are working on outside of class, at a student organization fair.
