Hawk Talk with "Doc Hawk"!

Join the Chula Vista Nature Center for a special evening discovering the world of hawks with Dr. Leon Powers, aka "Doc Hawk". This long-time college professor and wildlife biologist will share his adventures and experiences in the field with hawks and other amazing wildlife. Doc Hawk, a passionate naturalist, is the author of A Hawk in the Sun and is also a nature writer for Boy's Life Magazine, the official youth magazine of Boy Scouts of America. A teacher at heart, Doc Hawk writes to inform, entertain and inspire.
This evening of adventure with Doc Hawk includes a rare chance to meet a ferruginous hawk up-close, book signings, prizes and more!
A special kids' program, "Hooray for Hawks!" will also be offered. Kids will enjoy a hawk story, crafts and activities.
