Teach students about energy and energy conservation using Energy and You™!

Energy and You™ is available in four different units: Primary (K-2), Upper Elementary (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12) with each unit offering exciting hands-on activities designed to educate your students on energy and energy conservation. Each unit contains five or more lessons design to engage your students.  For example, primary students will learn how different colors absorb sunlight; upper elementary students will learn about the efficiency of CFL light bulbs through a head-to-head light bulb challenge; middle school students will learn about photovoltaics through the use of solar kits; and high school students will seek to solve energy crises through an interactive energy web quest.

The San Diego County Office of Education has developed standards-aligned curriculum and materials on energy efficiency and alternative energy resources. These will be provided to teachers at no cost.  Teachers who attend the training will receive all curriculum and support materials for the unit, including an energy DVD designed to enhance each unit!
