Maritime Week STEM Fest

San Diego Maritime Week, November 13 -19, celebrates “all things maritime”, to raise the visibility of this important San Diego sector locally, nationally and internationally, and to promote global collaboration. To further promote interest in as well as the future of innovative technological advances in the greater San Diego area, Maritime week includes STEM Fest, a day of student science project exposition.

On Saturday, November 13 schools from all over San Diego County will be presenting maritime related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and environmental action projects for public viewing. Student designed and built mini-submarines, ROV’s, will be demonstrated in hopes of capturing best design or most innovative award categories alongside science fair style displays of environmental action projects which involve tideland areas presented by students and their teachers.
