“Changing the Face of Science and Technology through Teacher Empowerment”

Time: 8:00 a.m. (registration) - 4:00 p.m.

Workshop: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Audience: Middle and High School Science Educators

The San Diego Chapter of The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers- (NOBCChE) through generous grants funded by the Kaiser Permanente Foundation and the Pfizer Foundation will be hosting a Science Educator Teacher Workshop.

This free one-day workshop will provide science-based activities that are filled with hands-on experiments, which align with state required objectives. The workshop will include a light breakfast and working lunch, which will allow educators to share their teaching strategies, insight and challenges. There will be teaching materials, other resources and give-a-ways. Teachers will receive a Certificate of Participation for 6 hours. Space is limited, please register early!
