Perspectives on Science Registration 2010-2011

The details for the 2010-2011 Annual Perspectives on Science (POS) Lecture/Dinner series at Point Loma Nazarene University are now available online.
POS is an award-winning community outreach program that has been experienced (and appreciated) by nearly 400 San Diego County science teachers during its 12 year history (see "Past Teacher Participants" and "Teacher Testimonials" links below). This year's POS events will feature talks on a wide range of topics, including flu vaccine development, biofuel production, maintaining species diversity, communication mechanisms among social insects, primate reproductive behavior, epigenetics, diabetes research, plus a visit by VS Ramachandran, probably the world's best known (and most entertaining) speaker on the topic of the human brain.
Registration details for this year's POS program can be accessed through the website below. Although the official registration deadline is October 5th, it is best to register early since the number of subscribers is limited to one hundred.
I offer you my best wishes for the coming year.....hopefully, it's a year that will find you coming to Point Loma Nazarene University each month to enjoy informative lectures, excellent meals with science educators who share your interests, and last, but not least, beautiful Pacific Ocean sunsets, viewed from our hillside campus.
