Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) Workshop Opportunity

Dear San Diego County Environmental Education Coordinators,

The Sweetwater Authority, Helix, Padre Dam and Otay Water Districts invite all interested educators to attend a Project WET professional development workshop at the El Cajon Water Conservation Garden on October 9, 2010.  Project WET’s interdisciplinary activities use water as an integrating context to study science, history, language arts and math in relation to current local water issues.

I’ve attached the flier for the October 9th workshop, information on Project WET and our workshops for those of you who may not be familiar with the program and a list of quotations from teachers taken from program exit evaluations from around the state in the past year.  Teachers attending this training will walk away with their own copy of the California standards aligned Project WET guide and will be eligible to purchase CEU credit through the CSU San Marcos Extended Learning program.

Registration Deadline: Friday- September 24, 2010.

The Water Education Foundation will reimburse the $20 registration fee for any teacher who attends the training, making it effectively free!
