Family Basket Weaving Classes with Diania Caudell
The San Diego Archaeological Center (SDAC) and the Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center (KIIC) are proud to present a two-part workshop in Basket Weaving, led by Diania Caudell.
California
Indian baskets are renowned for their diversity, craftsmanship, and
magnificence. Diania Caudell (Luiseño), member of California Indian
Basket Weavers Association, will lead a two-class series on basket
weaving. This classes will feature a media program on weaving and
materials. All participants will learn to weave a Cherokee-style basket
and everyone will go home with the basket they make.
Registration Fees:
Members
of SDAC or KIIC: $45 for both classes, or $25 for one class. One child
under 18 is free when accompanied by a paid member. Each additional
child is $5 each.
Nonmembers: $85 for both classes, or $45 for one class. Children under 18 are $5 when accompanied by a paid adult.
Reservations are required. Payment must be received by July, 1, 2011.
