The San Diego Archaeological Center is celebrating California Archaeology Month by inviting you to view 10,000 years of San Diego County history. During California Archaeology Month, children will enjoy free admission to the Center's Museum.
Award winning exhibits featuring real artifacts interpret the
region’s past and highlights the cultural diversity that makes
San Diego a unique and
dynamic place to live.
Families will discover fun, educational and hands-on activities at the Center, providing wonderful experiences that open up and expose new information and ideas, and spark creativity and curiosity.
An objective of Archaeology Month is to provide the public with information regarding the nature and sensitivity of cultural and heritage resources. Center exhibits and presentations can show that archaeology is not only a way for people to learn about their place in history but also increases interest in education and environmental concerns.
The Center is located in the historic San Pasqual Valley, adjacent to the San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park. The Center is open during regular operating hours Tuesday-Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and every Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. A suggested $2 donation per person or $5 per family donation is requested. Center members enjoy free admission.
Visit the Center’s website for additional information on the Center and upcoming events, workshops and programs.
