Applications Now Available for the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)
COSMOS is a unique opportunity for
motivated high school students to participate in a four-week summer residential
program. COSMOS is seeking academically talented students who are interested in
science, technology, engineering, and math to participate in an academic
enrichment program. The program is open to rising 8th through rising 12th graders.
Financial assistance is available. Students may apply online until March 15th
at http://www.ucop.edu/cosmos.
The COSMOS program is hosted at UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Cruz, and UC San
Diego. The program dates for UCSD COSMOS are July 10th - August 6th. High
school teachers are also invited to apply for COSMOS Teacher Fellow positions.
The Teacher Fellows work with COSMOS students and university faculty teams
during the program period. Teacher Fellows receive a $4500 stipend as well as
the opportunity to receive funding for classroom supplies and projects. The UCSD
