SCHOOL TEACHERS, STUDENTS & PARENTS
The High Tech Fair is coming soon. In less than a month, Wyland Hall (at the Del Mar Fairgrounds) will be transformed into an exciting STEM learning venue where kids can peer into the future and see high tech in action!
Don’t miss this opportunity to see fascinating, hands-on demonstrations of the latest applications of science and technology.
The 2011 High Tech Fair will be broken into two sessions:
Student Parent Night* – A FREE public event for parents and their middle/high school kids. This event enables kids to participate in the High Tech Fair if they do not have the opportunity to do so with their school.
Tuesday, February 8th 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Concessions will be available at this evening event.

Traditional School Day event – Teachers from local schools bring a class of students as a field trip activity. (SDSA will reimburse for one bus and one sub per San Diego public school.)

Over 50 industry leaders will demonstrate their current and emerging technologies in the following learning strands: Engineering/Aerospace/Robotics, Biotech, Information & Communication Technology, Healthcare, Conservation, and Clean Technology. There will even be a Tesla Roadster EV on display!

NOTE: Students are expected to prepare for their visit beforehand by researching several questions exhibitors have posted on the SDSA website. These will be uploaded by January 18th. This will ensure more meaningful interactions with exhibitors.
*The High Tech Fair science being showcased is at the 7th – 12th grade level; the concepts may be too complex for children under age 10.
