Scholarships for Art of Science Learning conference
The San Diego County Office of Education
is pleased to announce a sponsored opportunity for arts and science
teachers to learn new ways to use methods from the creative arts to
develop hands-on, imaginative approaches to science education, attract students to the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics) and retain their interest.
The Art of Science Learning, a project of The Learning Worlds Institute, is holding a one and half day conference on June 14 and 15 at UCSD/CALIT2. With the generous support of The Boeing Company, twelve teachers from the San Diego County middle
or high schools may be eligible to attend this exciting conference.
This scholarship from The Boeing Company will cover registration costs
only.
Preference will be given to arts and science teachers who apply as a pair, from the same school site.
Application
for the conference can be submitted directly to Liz Dreyer, conference
producer and Executive Director of Learning Worlds Institute.
Liz can be contacted at liz.dreyer@learningworldsinstitute.org.
More information about the conference can be found on our website, www.artofsciencelearning.org
