Step behind the lens with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to explore the technology of movies. Special effects require equal parts creativity and technical know-how.  Unleash your creativity and build your technical skills as you create your own special effects! Team up with the women of SWE to test your discoveries with real, hands-on challenges. Find out how things work, make cool gizmos with everyday objects and take your creations home with you. 

Important Information: Girls only.  This event usually sells out before the deadline.

Grades: 5–8

Date: April 2nd, 2011

Time: 1:00 - 5:00 PM, registration begins at 12:30 PM

Location: Girl Scouts San Diego - Balboa Park Campus (1231 Upas Street)

Fee: $6/girl - includes participation patch and T-Shirt (for attendees only)
