TeacherTECH Earth Science Series

Educators teaching grades 3- 5 are invited to attend a special TeacherTECH Earth Science Series offered in collaboration with the San Diego Air and Space Museum.

This exciting series, taught be experts in the field of astronomy and earth science, is focused on hands-on earth science activities and resources to engage your students while teaching the standards.

Workshop Description:

Grade Level: Specializing in 3rd and 5th Grade curriculum and California State Standards, but of interest to other grade levels too.

Using the museum’s Magic Planet equipment, see how digital multimedia presentations can give an extra dimension to teaching about the solar system and related subject areas. We’ll talk about ideas you can use in your classroom, plus special ideas and materials you will find only in a museum and science center environment. We’ll include access into our new exhibition, Space: A Journey to our Future.

Admission to the San Diego Air and Space Museum will be provided.

About the Space: A Journey to our Future Exhibit

SDASM presents Space: A Journey to Our Future, now open for a limited time! Produced by Evergreen Exhibitions and presented in collaboration with NASA, this dynamic, multimedia exhibit looks back into the history of aeronautics and examines the many unknown questions of existence posed by future space exploration.

All participants will receive a workshop certificate endorsed by the San Diego County Office of Education for professional development credit.

Please join us for an exciting and informative session of hands-on learning presented by Rossco Davis and Shalene Baxter, San Diego Air and Space Museum.
