Archaeological Site Investigation (ASI) Summer Camps
The San Diego Archaeological Center
is excited to offer two camp sessions this summer. Unlike any camp
experience you have ever heard about, ASI is the creative and
interdisciplinary approach to teaching the science of archaeology.
Combining Project Archaeology lessons in art, science and history with
cultural and natural stewardship allows the camper a broader and deeper
perspective of archaeology.
With adventures
in nearby nature, creative expression, and the latest tools of
technology, activities include Artifact Interact, GPS led discoveries,
designing and creating clay vessels and many more engaging hands-on
lessons. Both camp sessions cover the same curriculum.
Designed for 2nd- 5th graders, all lessons will follow the Summer Motto of FUN, FUN, and FUN!
