Green Living Project Mobile Tour

The Green Living Project's Mobile Tour is returning to the California area this winter and will be visiting top K-12 schools and colleges with our latest presentation, "Connecting Students to Global Sustainability" from January 15th- February 15th. Please feel free to share this opportunity with the schools and teachers in your networks!
 
“Connecting Students to Global Sustainability" will showcase cutting-edge sustainability projects across Central and South America, Africa and North America. Students will experience the expedition team’s journey and witness the latest efforts in wildlife conservation, sustainable tourism, voluntourism, rainforest conservation, indigenous communities, renewable energy, research, education, and more. Our team also travels in the Soltrekker RV, which is open for students to tour depending on class sizes and the amount of students at the school. The RV is equipped with Solar Panels, Composting Toilet, Water Catchment Systems, Sustainable Wood Floors, Biodiesel engine, and LED lighting. We have had a great response from students who come on board and we are eager to hear what your students are doing to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

This event is open to all students, staff, parents, and community members. The presentation is ideal for a student assembly or individual class presentations, with high-quality HD video, photography, and storytelling that spans multiple disciplines.  Our Mobile Tour team, Evan and Davi, will showcase the current presentation, manage a Q & A session to discuss the featured projects in more detail, and provide students with opportunities on how they can get involved with these exciting projects!   We suggest a voluntary donation of $250-$500 per school to keep our education program going.  We understand the limits of school budgets and greatly appreciate donations of any amount. Please note that we will present at any school that's interested, regardless of available funds.

Green Living Project has documented over 60 sustainability stories across 17 countries in Africa, South America, Central America and North America.  Through HD video, photojournalism, and unique travel stories, GLP aims to educate and inspire students and communities on the benefits and importance of sustainable living.  GLP has given over 200 presentations since 2008 at leading schools, festivals, trade shows, retail stores, and community centers across the country. Since fall 2009 the Mobile Tour has reached over 50 schools, and this fall GLP’s Education Program and curriculum launched in schools nationwide.
