Nature Nights Lecture Series- Doc Hawk Returns!

“The Who’s Who of Western Owls”

Thursday, November 17th, 6-8pm

 

Join us for an evening of discovery with biologist, professor and author, Dr. Leon Powers, aka “Doc Hawk”, as we explore the lives of Western Owls. 

  • Stories and photos of adventures in the field with wild owls!
  • Live owls, up-close and personal, for photo ops (5 different species!)
  • Book signings by “Doc Hawk”
  • A night of fun and inspiration for the whole family!

 

For Kids:   “Owls are a Hoot!”- a special kid-friendly program for young owl-lovers will be offered during Doc Hawk’s program.  Kids will go to the classroom with Nature Center Education Staff to enjoy owl stories, crafts and activities while adults stay for the program.  The children’s program is appropriate for children 4 and older.

FREE for members!  Non-members: $10 adults, $5 Kids.

Note: Scouts may have seen “Doc Hawk” in Boys’ Life, the official youth magazine of Boy Scouts of America.
