LEGOLAND is offering a matching sponsorship for 1000 students for a STEM field trip to LEGOLAND

As part of our participation in the SD Festival of Science and Engineering, LEGOLAND is offering a matching sponsorship for 1000 students for a STEM field trip to LEGOLAND. 

Up to 1000 students on classroom field trip visits.

PROGRAMS
Discover all new LEGO® robotics in the Ultimate Lab experiences!

Green City, Green Seas Learn to go green on land and sea in this eco-field trip! Gr 4-8
Green City MINDSTORMS NXT eco-bots knock down the polluting smokestack, sort recyclables, and more to keep the green city running! Green Seas—Test soil, water, and kelp samples from our aquarium tanks, and compare healthy and unhealthy ecosystems under a microscope.

Jr. Life Lab simulates real surgeries! Gr. 3-6
Dr. Heartbeat and your MINDSTORMS NXT Nano-bots cut a bad vein, inject anesthetic, and more! Learn about real life da Vinci robots, and ride an industrial-sized KUKA robot for extended learning. Squid Dissection--Keep your lab coats on and dive into squid anatomy at SEA LIFE.

Robotics for Young Beginners—Gator-Bots and Underwater Parks! Gr 1-2
Gator-Bots Build simple machines with gears, pulleys, and sensors. Turn them into robots with sensors and motors—make the gator chomp, OR build tropical fish who “live” in an Underwater Park. Underwater Parks Discover three distinct marine protected areas and build a sample habitat! Interactive exploration of three live habitat exhibits.

TERMS for MATCHING GRANT

  • Groups must be visiting LEGOLAND - SEA LIFE for a first-time STEM field trip with their school.
  • Schools who have not visited LEGOLAND in the past 3 years are eligible to apply. LEGOLAND reserves the right to determine eligible schools.
  • Advance reservations by phone required at 760-438-LEGO.
  • LEGOLAND - SEA LIFE “hopper” field trips, including a STEM program, must be completed by April 30, 2012.
  • Published terms for educational reservations, rates, adult: child ratio, chaperone pricing, and other details apply, see LEGOLAND Education brochure at www.LEGOLAND.com/edu.
  • Programs and matching tickets subject to availability.
  • First come, first serve. Payment must be received before matching ticket commitment will be made. LEGOLAND reserves the right to determine schools who will receive the matching tickets.
  • Up to 100 matching student tickets available per school. Matching tickets available at LEGOLAND on the day of the visit.
