Speak Up 2011 is just around the corner and it's not too early to start making plans to take the survey which will be open October 10th - December 23rd, 2011. Throughout the Speak Up season, we will keep you updated with topics of interest via our Speak Up e-newsletter. This e-newsletter includes:

Speak Up Registration Now Open
Join
with educators from across the country that use the Speak Up Surveys to
identify how their students, teachers, administrators and parents want
to use technology for learning, communications and collaboration. Get a
jump start on Speak Up participation by registering your school or
district today! To assist with the registration process we are offering
to help save you some time by registering your district or school for
you. All you have to do is send us an email (jhostert@tomorrow.org)
with your registration request. Please include the name of your district
or school, state and any new contact information that needs to be
updated. We will then send you a follow up email with a PDF of your
school list and passwords to confirm that your district/school has been
registered. If you would like to register on your own please visit our

Released
at ISTE, Jun 28th, 2011 Learning in the 21st Century, 2011 Trends
Update highlights the Speak Up 2010 survey data collected from 379,285
K-12 students, parents and educators and illustrates how online learning
is changing the classroom paradigm within our nation’s schools. In the
report, we focus on five key questions and provide new national data
findings to help inform local, state and national discussions around
online learning. This year’s five key questions are:
- Who is learning online?
- What is propelling this new level of interest and excitement around online learning?
- Can online learning really transform the learning process?
- What is standing in the way of greater adoption of online learning in our nation’s schools?
- What are the most effective motivators to increase the pool of teachers who want to teach online?
