Applications are NOW being Accepted for the 2012 At-Large BioGENEius Challenge!
BIOCOM Education Committee & Education Colleagues:
This year the Biotechnology Institute is excited about the 2012 U.S. National BioGENEius Challenge, the premier competition for high school students that recognizes outstanding research in biotechnology.
Students
may qualify for the U.S. National BioGENEius Challenge, by applying
directly to the At-Large Challenge through the online application process located on the Biotechnology Institute website (www.biotechinstitue.org). The Institute will host a virtual competition in which a panel of
judges will convene and review each completed research project
submission from students across the U.S. Judges will then select 15
student delegates.
The selected 15 students will receive a travel
award for a student/teacher pair paid trip to Boston, MA from June 16 -
19, 2012. The selected 15 students will also join the winners of each
Local BioGENEius Challenge(s) to present their research poster and oral presentations and advance to the U.S. National BioGENEius Challenge. 10 winners of the U.S. National BioGENEius Challenge will be advance
to the International BioGENEius Challenge held in conjunction with an
international biotech industry conference hosted by the Biotechnology
Industry Organization. Students will have a chance to compete for cash prizes totaling $20,000.
